Psalm 17:2

http://www.dailybiblestudy.org

2 Let my sentence [mishpat] come forth [yatsa'] from thy presence; [paniym] let thine eyes [`ayin] behold [chazah] the things that are equal. [meyshar] KJV-Interlinear

2 Let my judgment come forth from Thy presence; Let Thine eyes look with equity. NASB

Judgment, 'mishpat,' means a decision by a judge.

In this world, justice is far from equitable and fair. People fall to bias, intimidation, prejudice, gossip and worse.

Life is just not fair in this world. People are not fair. And to leave ones life in the hands of people, places ones life in the hands of the whims of society. Didn't people get accused of being witches? Didn't people get accused of being the cause of problems in society? Didn't people get sent to extermination camps, starved, persecuted and so forth throughout history? Aren't people the victims of crime? And what of taxes. Has anyone ever seen a fair tax for all?

Life is full of burdens. Life is full of burdens that are government related, socially related, as well as physically and mentally related. Life has burdens coming from all directions at one time or another throughout your life.

So, leaving yourself open to the 'fairness' of the world, which is not fairness at all, is not a logical approach to life. But that is exactly what people do when they reject or ignore or invent their own deity.

God, is the only fair and just decision maker. He knows all of the facts, all of the details of history, and bases His decisions on truth, which includes salvation, spiritual growth, your life, and how they all fit into His divine plan, and your destiny.

In order to get the fairest treatment of your life, God must be the one and only judge.

You still have to live in this world. It is the devils world. And you still have to deal with life in this world. But your life, and certainly your destiny into the next life are not determined by this world, nor anyone in it. That sovereignty belongs to God and to God alone.

So, in order to guarantee for yourself the fairest and best treatment for the big picture of your life, you must look to God, and live in accordance with His rules, not your rules. Because ignoring God in your life is the biggest mistake you will ever make, and the repercussions will be the worst possible, which by the way, are all due to your own decisions in ignoring God.
